I hope you enjoyed our 12 part series of the interview’s between Sean Rasmussen and Kurek Ashley. I thought it was a great way to wrap up the year and get us all on track for 2009. So, basically, what I want to do now is summarize the main points of the interview’s and start to put them into action.

Here’s my top 5 points that I have noted:

1. Make a public declaration.

2. Take responsibility for learning the methods needed to achieve what we want.

3. It’s OK to be successful. Become a leader.

4. Decision, Commitment, Investment.

5. Show your gratitude.

Actually there’s one more important point.

6. What you resist persist’s and what you accept changes.

And of course, lets not forget the success formula.

1.    Set some Grand Dream Goals – Don’t limit yourself to what you think you can achieve.
2.    Get educated. Find out how to achieve it and talk to people who have already done it.
3.    Take immediate action
4.    Test and Measure – Find out if you are on the right path, check your results.
5.    Follow through – Persistence always pays off.

Please take 10 mintues to really consider these points. Work out exactly what you want to achieve this year and use these strategies to put it into action. Remember “Thoughts leads to Actions, which get you the Results”. It all starts with a simple thought, so right now is the time to start thinking about what you want from the year ahead.

On a personal level, 2009 is going to be a MASSIVE year for me. I have a lot planned for this year so stay tuned and I will keep you up to date about how I intend to achieve these results.

The Life Success Club is the result of an idea that started many years ago. Kurek Ashley realized that to change their lives, people would have to be consistent in their method and be supported along the journey. The LSC is an affordable way to do exactly this. Each month you will be sent a CD in the post, which basically consists of  two tracks. Track 1, goes for about 40 minutes and is focused on consistent thoughts of success and strategies for reprogramming the mind. This should be listened to about once per week. Track 2 is the Action Track and should be listened to everyday for a whole month. It’s only 10 minutes long and is what needs to be done to help with the formation of new habits. I guess if we think about it logically, the habits that we have now are producing the results that we are currently getting. If we are not happy with where our lives are headed then we need to form some new habits. Remember that a habit is a consistent action that is performed automatically. If we can get into the habit of being successful then our lives will be changed forever. Think about the Donald Trump, Warren Buffet and Richard Branson’s of this world. Do you think they have successful habits?

Well this concludes our 12 part series of interviews between Kurek Ashley and Sean Rasmussen. I hope that you have been able to gain some insight into the mindset that is required to change the way you live and produce the wealth that will set you on the path to financial freedom. From my point of view, Kurek Ashley’s Book “How would love respond?” is a must read for anyone who is questioning who they are and in need of a bit of focus to get them on the right track. I simply couldn’t put this book down and as a member of the Life Success Club and can highly recommend it as a stepping stone on the road to personal development.

Here Sean Rasmussen is talking about what it takes to get across the line and really take some massive action. And one of the best ways to do that is to make it public knowledge. Kurek Ashley calls it a ‘Public Declaration’ and what a great way to be held accountable for your actions. Imagine if you told everyone that you have quit smoking or drinking and a week later they saw you in a bar with a pint glass in your hand and smoking a cigarette. Your friends would quite rightly give you a hard time about it, saying one thing and doing the opposite. You would be seen as a failure and feel pretty bad about it. So, naturally we would be more inclined to avoid this situation and stick to our promise. Our motivation would be higher to succeed because we don’t want to let ourselves down and also be seen as a failure. You will essentially be held to a higher standard. Something else to consider is how you go about it. Don’t just say to yourself ‘ I can’t do this’ or ‘I’ll never quit smoking’. Give yourself a chance and ask ‘how will you do it?’ Look for a solution. Find it, plan it and implement it.
Kurek Ashey also goes on to talk about the two types of people and the formula for success. The two types of people are the minority who are successful and the majority who are unsuccessful. And where you fall into either category basically comes down to your ability to follow this formula:
1.    Set some Grand Dream Goals – Don’t limit yourself to what you think you can achieve.
2.    Get educated. Find out how to achieve it and talk to people who have already done it.
3.    Take immediate action
4.    Test and Measure – Find out if you are on the right path, check your results.
5.    Follow through – Persistence always pays off.
Generally speaking, the unsuccessful group will not do any of these steps. They will make excuses as to why it didn’t happen and procrastinate over what they need to do.

Here Kurek Ashley talks about ‘THE GIFT’. Now I’m not going to say exactly what that is because you’ll have to read the book. You have to realize it in it’s full context to really understand it’s meaning. One thing Kurek Ashley does talk about though is the saying: “Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he’ll live forever”. What he is talking about here is that we need to take responsibility for learning the methods needed to achieve what we want. Take a lottery winner for example. 80% of people who win a large amount of money in the lottery end up worse off than before they won the money. And this usually happens in a short space of time. Why is this? Because they don’t know how to manage it and get into more debt than when they first started. However, if we teach them what to do then they are more likely to benefit from it for a longer period of time. Not only that, but they are more inclined to help other people along the way. Being happy and wealthy within yourself allows you to be more of an example to others and they will be more willing to follow. There’s no point in being a fat, fitness instructor! Lead by example and inspire others along the way.

I really enjoyed watching this video as it got me thinking on so many different levels. The old school of thinking would say “if your rich, then your greedy” or “you will feel better if you go without”. It was always about sacrifice for the good of man and giving to others. But here, Kurek Ashley talks from another perspective. If being rich, or driving a flash car or living in a big house is what you have always dreamed of, then why shouldn’t we do it. Everything in life is borrowed and if by having these luxuries makes us feel better then why not? When we feel happy inside, we are more likely to share our wealth with others and help each other out. Personally speaking, now that I have a regular source of income coming in, I am able to sponsor a child in Africa, give to local charities and also donate 10% of my company profits to my favorite charitable organizations. There is no way that I would be able to do this if I was living on the bread line. Therefore, it is a personal goal to be successful and increase my level of sharing each year. The happiness doesn’t come from making money. That is just the vehicle. It’s comes in the form of sharing and putting my children through good schools. Letting them play the sports they want and inspiring them to be the best that they can be. For me, achieving Happiness is when I can help someone become more than what they are now. Share the joy and inspire people.

The word “But” can be so powerful, BUT unfortunately it is used in a negative way. It literally cancels out what ever you have just said before it. “I’d really like to get fit, but I’m too busy”. Instead try to use “AND”. This will turn it into a positive context and encourage the other person to follow what you are saying. It all comes down to communication. Positive communication skills leads to positve results. The way that you communicate with other people is fundamental in expressing who you are as a character. By being enthusiastic and having good quality communication, this will definately lead to better results. Think about it. If your moping around saying “Yeah I really want to do that, but the whole world is against me” then who is going to want to listen to you. People are attracted to positive energy. If instead you said something like” Yeah I really want to do that and this is how I’m going to do it”, then this will encourage other people to do the same. All of a sudden, it seems achieveable. You’ve given a goal and a solution to what is now no longer even a problem. This simple strategy can be very effective in lifting your business sales and company integrity. Always look for a solution, because an obstacle is simply something to go around.

Now where getting into it! The core of Wealth Education.

These three components of the Psychology of Wealth are the foundation of creating change.

1.THE DECISION: You have to actually make the decision to be successful. Be sure about it. Be positive and really mean it! Once you decide that this is what you want then change is inevitable. And it will happen immediately. We also need to be better decision makers. I know I certainly do. Procrastination is a major reason why so many people do not succeed. They Um and Ah and let fear step in and the next thing you know - your still in your comfort zone!

2.COMMITMENT: Once you’ve made the decision to be create success in your life, the next step is to commit to achieving it. This can often be the hard part as so many people quit within an inch of achieving their goals but will never know about it. Persistance = Profits! Decide on your goal. Commit to achieving it. Focus your focus and keep going until you get it. And you will get it.

3. MAKE AN INVESTMENT: You have to be prepared to give something first. “In order to see the trees grow, first you must plant the seeds”. And the best investment you could possibly make is in yourself. Invest a little time and energy into personal development. No matter where in the world you are, I could almost guarantee that one of your personal goals is just to be happy. How often have you heard “All I want in life is to be happy”, yet so many people are not prepared to take the necessary action and do something about it. Your biggest investment is you! If you don’t evolve, you will dissolve.

“Everything in this life is borrowed.You have to give it all back. The only thing you get to keep is the love you gave, the love you received and the experiences your soul got to have”.

Today Kurek Ashley is talking about being grateful. Now I don’t know about you, but I easily get so caught up in today’s busy lifestyle and chasing the next opportunity, that I forget to be grateful for what I already have. Have a look at this video and we’ll talk some more.

Gratitude is an incredible emotion. Both giving and receiving it feels great and will lift your spirits to a whole new level. And what’s even more exciting is that it doesn’t have to involve two or more people. Be grateful for where you are in your life right now. If it’s a dark place your in right now then look for something positive and focus on that. Be grateful that you’ve recognized that it’s not where you want to be right now and that you want to make things better. This leads back to our last post ” What you resist persist’s and what you accept changes”. Because by being grateful that you are ready to move on, you will naturally accept the past and be able to change your future.

30seconds can lead to a lifetime of happiness!

Sean talks about a pretty simple technique to make some amazing changes. Spend a quick 30seconds every morning being grateful for something in your life. This will help you focus on the good things in your life and the more positive your focus, the more positive experiences you will let into your life. Both Sean and Kurek use this technique and look at the impact it has had on their lives. As Kurek Ashley say’s: it’s the little things that you do each day that can make a massive impact on your life.

So take five minute’s right now to realize some of the things that you are grateful. List five things. Also, think about how it feels when you show gratitude towards someone else. How good does it feel when someone is grateful towards you. Like I said, this is a very powerful emotion and once you understand it’s potential, you will see the effect that it can have on people’s lives.

From Pain to Change! Why is it , that sometimes it takes a painful experience to create the change we need in our lives. Have a look at what Kurek Ashley has to say about it and we can discuss it further.

We often hear stories of people hitting “Rock Bottom” and then completely transforming their lives to be full of fun, happiness and adventure. But why do we need to hit rock bottom to really kick us into gear and make our own choices. I like to associate it to a saying I once heard ” What you resist persists and what you accept changes!” If you keep fighting something, it will always be in the forefront of your mind and you will constantly be thinking about ways to beat it. Therefore it will never go away and will always be a part of your life. However, should you accept the fact that this something has happened and allow it to pass through you then you can happily move on and get on with your life.

By hitting rock bottom, these people have given up the fight and accepted the situation. It’s usually very emotional, but then change can come as a natural progression. That’s why, if someone is an Alocoholic or Suffering from Depression or needs Anger Management, then the turning point in their recovery will be when they accept their “condition” and focus on what they want to be. From this point on, they will be able to evolve and their lives will never be the same again. It takes real Strength and Courage to recover from these situations, but the human spirit is built on our survival instinct. We all want to live an amazing life, but sometimes believe our defence mechanism is to stay quite, not stand out and follow the crowd. Forget that! Get out there and have some fun. This is the only life that you will have so make the most of it. Write out a list of 5 things you want to do this year and start to plan how you can do them. Be grateful for what you have and show appreciation to the people around you. Create your life how you want it to be, rather than reacting to the situations that are thrown at you. And most importantly, stand in your truth!
